August went like…
August was full of work visually supporting incredible clients across the country. Here are highlights of live graphic recording and knowledge wall charts created on-site for each event this month.
Starting us off is the New Mexico Tribal Behavioral Health Providers Association (NMTBHPA) conference in Albuquerque. This presentation reminded participants that cultural humility is a continual practice in self-reflection, which we can all strive toward. Chart created in real-time during presentation.
Next is an interactive Knowledge Wall created over two days for the NMTBHPA conference. Since I could not attend three breakouts simultaneously, staff members wrote down highlights from breakout sessions and brought them to me to be integrated into the visual summary.
Then it was off to the University of Nevada, Reno to support Data Research. The organizers brought in participants from across the University to share resources available, discuss how AI is influencing the field, and build connections and relationships. A truly transdisciplinary event! Chart created in real-time during presentation.
Back in Colorado, I got to create a full day summary of the staff retreat for Beach Court Elementary before the school year started. These educators are remarkable and they spent the day focused on their priorities, connecting with each other in person, and laughing together over a killer lunch potluck.
Getting to partner with expert facilitators like Carrie Bennett for our clients like the CSU Energy Institute is a treat. Carrie brought energy, focus, and…hats to the conversation to help participants think outside their own perspectives for an exercise. These hats were based on the organization’s guiding principles, a particularly bespoke touch!
We snuck in our first overnight family rafting trip!
Next, working for a colleague with a corporate client means you get a redacted work-in-progress chart…but a smile from me. Another shoutout to an absolutely top-notch facilitator, Shoba Chandran, who expertly guided the international group through a 3-day retreat.
Finally, I had the honor of sketching a few drawings for a stunning documentary on the Ute Bear Dance created by Anthony Two Moons. The sketches start at 11:08.
